Town Hall with MP Michelle Rempel, MP Jamie Schmale and Candidate for MP Michael Skinner.
Always controversial and difficult to predict with many highly charged issues and conflicting points of view, the outcome of Canada’s National elections in October need to be determined by well-informed voters, and on Saturday May 4, Peterborough will have the first of many opportunities to get the answers they need straight from Parliament Hill.
Hosted by local entrepreneur and Conservative candidate Mike Skinner, Calgary MP Michelle Remple and Halibrton Kawartha Lakes Brock (HKLB) Jamie Schmale will take to the stage to speak directly to the issues facing our country and our community. Official Opposition Critic for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Michelle can speak directly to many of the issues being felt at our borders and within our cities and towns. Jamie’s role as a member of the Standing Committee of Natural Resources provides a perspective on how our resources are being managed in Kawartha and across the country.
In a Town Hall format, the event at The Venue, 286 George St. N., will provide opportunity to ask questions of Mike, Michelle and Jamie and to cut through the political rhetoric and better understand how our immigration system and other controversies can be addressed.
Doors open at 10 a.m. with the Town Hall discussion running 10:30 to noon sharp.
